GMC Missions
GMC is active in outreach/missions. We will be updating this page to include pictures but for now we would like to mention some of the outreach/misssion ministries that GMC does.
Youth Mission Trips
Typically the GMC YOUTH does at least one, or sometimes two, mission trips a year. In recent years they have gone to New Orleans and to Mexico.
Men's Mission Trip
Men from GMC will typically go to Mexico several times a year. They usually stay for a week or so at a time to do mission work. GMC men have gone to help build mission buildings, houses, churches, a Bible school and recently an outreach center in Juarez Mexico.
Zacatecas, Mexico
GMC has been in partnership with a ministry in the Sierras in Zacatecas for years. A man named Lorenzo responded to God's call over 15 years ago to go and bring the Gospel to the scatered Indians in the Sierras. Now there are up to 800 that gather on the mission campus on special occasions. GMC men and ladies have gone numerous times to help build and develop the mission campus there. GMC also sends monthly financial support to the mission.
Juarez Mexico
GMC is also in partnership with numerous mission/outreach ministries in Juarez, Mexico. GMC gives assistance and financial support to people who spread the Gospel in Juarez.
Special Mission Fund-raisers
Typically our Mission Team will have one major community wide fundrasier a year. The team picks a project, promotes it, and raises funds for it. In 2009 about $40,000 was raised for Missions in Mexico. In 2010 about $24,000 was raised for Haiti.
Missionary in Paraguay
GMC also gives financial support to a misisonary couple in Paraguay, Central America.
In The Year 2011
Our mission teams went to Juarez, Mexico several times to assist in missions with building, evangelism, and orphanage efforts.
A team went to Joplin, Missouri to help with the rebuilding efforts from the May tornado devastation.
Looking Forward
The week of February 12 - 18, 2012 has been set aside by our Mission Team to go to Juarez, Mexico to continue the missions.
